OUR ALL TIME FAVOURITE!!!

First of all, I’m so sorry I haven’t post for a while cause it was exam week last week but now I’m heeereee, exam is over and I already can hear holiday is calling me YAY!! So in this post, i will discuss yes discuss guys, about what? I can’t hear you.. yes that’s right it is our aaaallll time favourite *drumrolls* COFFEE. Of course everyone know what coffee is. Coffee usually drank in the nice bright morning and actually it is right cause the caffeine in the coffee will react 1-2 hours after we consume it.
I think we’ll talk about what do you want to read first, the advantages of coffee hhm caffeine exactly cause caffeine is not only contained by coffee but in this post I think I will concentrate more about coffee.
So, the advantages of coffee or caffeine are quite a lot actually. First, caffeine can improve energy levels and make you smarter. How? After you drink coffee, the caffeine is absorbed into the bloodstream. From there, it travels into the brain. In the brain, caffeine blocks the inhibitory neurotransmitter called Adenosine. That cause norepinephrine and dopamine increase. This improves energy levels, mood and various aspects of brain function. Second, coffee can help you to burn fat. Well I mean caffeine, why I say coffee? Cause coffee contains caffeine more than other food and drink. Okay back to coffee i mean caffeine duh, caffeine can boost the body metabolic rate by 3%-11% based on several studies. What is body metabolic rate or we usually call it BMR? BMR is the energy we use for our metabolism. Caffeine makes the fat cells break down body fat, releasing them into the blood as free fatty acids and making them available as fuel. That’s why caffeine can help us to burn fat in our body. So good guys to consume coffee before we head to the gym, so good. Third, coffee contains water soluble vitamins and minerals that our body need. Coffee contains vitamin B2 (riboflavin) and vitamin B(Pantothenic acid), Manganese & Potassium, and Magnesium & Niacin ( vitamin B3). Fourth, this is the most controversial advantage hehe, coffee can lower your risk of DIABETES type II. But remember, the sugar you add into your coffee. If you add too much, this means nothing lol. Fifth, coffee drinkers have a much lower risk of developing cirrhosis, which can be caused by several diseases that affect the liver. But I think you have to balance between coffee and mineral water you drink in a day cause it will effect your kidneys. Sixth, coffee can prevent cancer. Why? Cause coffee contains antioxidants. (psstt, check out my late post about antioxidants). Seventh, coffee can lower the risk of stroke. Coffee may cause mild increases in blood pressure, which usually diminish over time. Coffee drinkers do not have an increased risk of heart disease, but a slightly lower risk of stroke.
That’s just glimpse of caffeine or coffee’s advantages guys. Now it’s time for the correction (damn I feel like an expert lol). As a conclusion, coffee or caffeine makes us healthy. Which is true but, terms and conditions applied here lol. Caffeine is still safe to be consume up to 400 mg per day for ADULTS and of course caffeine is not too good for children.  Too much caffeine (>400 mg per day) can cause,
First, it effects your central nervous system. Caffeine and headaches have a complicated relationship. Too much caffeine can give you a headache. However, your body develops a tolerance to caffeine. If you normally consume caffeine and stop suddenly, it can cause a headache. If you’re not used to it, caffeine can give you the jitters. If you have an anxiety disorder or sleep disorder, caffeine may make it worse. Symptoms of caffeine withdrawal include anxiety, irritability, and drowsiness. In some people, sudden withdrawal may cause tremors. It’s also possible to overdose on caffeine. Symptoms of an overdose include confusion and hallucinations. An overdose can result in death due to convulsions. Second, caffeine can effect your digestive and excretory system. Caffeine raises the amount of acid in your stomach and may cause heartburn or upset stomach. It’s also a diuretic, triggering your body to get rid of water. That’s why it’s not a great thirst quencher. Extra caffeine doesn’t get stored in your body. It is processed in the liver and exits in your urine. So if you have problem with your stomach like acid reflux or ulcers, better to ask your doctor first cause large dose of caffeine can lead to dehydration. Third, an overdose of caffeine may cause rapid or irregular heartbeat and breathing trouble. In rare cases, caffeine overdose can cause death due to convulsions or irregular heartbeat. Fourth, caffeine in large amounts may interfere with absorption and metabolism of calcium. This can contribute to bone thinning (osteoporosis). Symptoms of caffeine withdrawal include achy muscles. An overdose can cause muscle twitches. Fifth, Caffeine travels within the bloodstream and crosses into the placenta. Since it is a stimulant, it can cause your baby’s heart rate and metabolism to increase. Too much caffeine can also cause slowed fetal growth and increase risk of miscarriage. In most cases, a little caffeine is safe during pregnancy. Caffeine can also contribute to painful lumps in the breast (fibrocystic disease). Large amounts of caffeine can interfere with estrogen production and metabolism, making it harder to get pregnant.

So, it’s all back to the portion. Too much not good, too less not good. Better just consume 2 cups of coffee per day remember guys 2 CUPS. And don’t forget how much sugar you add into your coffee. Oh aand FYI, this is so important guys. As same as tannin in tea (read my late post about tea hehe), caffeine will settle in your liver and cannot be absorbed if you consume it cold. The best temperature for caffeine is 80°C - 95°C. And actually, caffeine is not only contained by coffee but also in other ingredients too such as tea, chocolate, coke, ice cream, etc.

I think that’s all i can share with you guys. By the way, how many times do you consume coffee everyday and what do you add into your coffee? Milk? Creamer? I like the regular coffee, well not really like but I still like it though lol. See you again on my next post byeee
