Fight free radicals in your body!!


        Hey guys, today I will talk about free radicals and how you can FIGHT IT in your body. I know you guys have heard a lot about free radicals but today, I want to post more but still generally about free radicals. So I hope you’ll enjoy and got more knowledge from this post J
        First of all, we have to know what free radical is. Free radicals are atoms or groups of atoms with an odd (unpaired) number of electrons and can be formed when oxygen interacts with certain molecules. Once formed these highly reactive radicals can start a chain reaction. This reaction can cause cell mutation, and this cell mutation can lead to premature aging, cancer, tumor, cardiovascular and other degenerative disease depending on what cells does the cell mutation happen.

      Free radicals not only from outside our body like pollution, foods usually meats, drinks, radiation and uv lights but also from stress and metabolism system in our body. Our body does respiration cells, every cells in our body do respiration system. This respiration will form free radicals in our body such as superoxide dismutase (SOD) and friends.

So how do we fight free radicals in our body?? 
        We need to consume antioxidants to fight free radicals. Antioxidants donate their electrons to the unstable free radicals so the free radicals cannot snatch electrons from unsuspecting nearby cells. Antioxidant is a molecule that inhibits the oxidation of other molecules. Oxidation is a chemical reaction that can produce free radicals, leading to chain reactions that may damage cells.
Where we can find antioxidants??
        Antioxidants can be found in so many foods, especially fruits, spices, and herbs too. Antioxidants in fruits especially berries are high to prevent cell mutation caused by free radicals. Also don’t forget your all time favourite guys, tea and chocolate (ehm I mean dark chocolate). And my aaalll time favorite are spices and herbs. Garlic, ginger, turmeric, cumin, thyme, oregano, cinnamon, parsley aaand friends. I mean, who doesn’t like spices and herbs? And they have many advantages too ;)
